Transportation
Train
There are frequent connections to Genoa from San Remo. Trains leave almost every hour and the trip with a fast train takes 1hour and 45 minutes, while the regional train travels 2 hours and a half. From Genoa you can continue west to the border town of Ventimiglia. Connections from Ventimiglia to Nice in France are available on every hour.
Bus
Local buses have frequent connections between San Remo and Bordighera. They run every 15 minutes and the trip is only 20 minutes. Frequent bus connections to Ventimiglia are also available. The trip takes around 40 minutes.
Car
The best way to get to and out of San Remo by car is via A10 Autostrada. It goes along the coast from the French border to Genoa. The trip to the border is approximately 20 minutes, while travelling to Genoa will take you around 45 minutes. The other coast road S1 is much slower, yet it goes through the city centre.
